Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, in partnership with the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention, Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Kaiser Permanente is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual VABC Health Fair. This day of health-related activities is designed to promote overall wellness, provide  visibility and connection to health and wellness resources, increase personal health awareness via health screenings/education and to provide motivation for healthy lifestyle choices.

We hope you’ll join us for a day of fellowship and fun that will also be beneficial to your health. The VABC Health Fair was organized by VABC Health Ministers, Lori Cook, MSN, RN, PMHCNS-BC and Nadene Peters-Jones, RN, MA, PMH-BC – Retired, in partnership with the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Kaiser Permanente. Rev. Dr. John J. Cox is Pastor of the historic Vermont Avenue Baptist Church.

VABC’s Health Ministers, and professional psychiatric nurses, Lori Cook, MSN, RN, PMHCNS-BC and Nadene Peters-Jones, RN, MA, PMH-BC-Retired, are organizing this event. Working together, they  offer concrete tools to help us recognize the signs of debilitating psychological challenges common to highly stressful circumstances.
