Congratulations Rev. Dr. John J. Cox!
The Vermont Avenue Baptist Church family has formed a partnership with the Georgetown University Lombardi Cancer Center. Rev. Cox was selected to serve on the Lombardi Center’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council (DEI).
The Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center (DEI) Advisory Council’s strategic objectives are to guide the Georgetown Lombardi DEI Office to execute the cancer center’s DEI Plan. The advisory board provides feedback and identifying strategies and outlets for broad outreach to recruit trainees, postdoctoral fellows and faculty from groups underrepresented in cancer research. It also reviews strategies to foster retention, promote inclusion and advance leadership among women and groups underrepresented in cancer research. For more information click the link below.
